Chairman of Kowloon City District Council Mr Pun Kwok-wah presented a tapestry flag to Kowloon City District (KCDIST) on October 9 in appreciation of their professionalism in combating crime. It is noteworthy that the number of robbery and burglary cases in the District for the first half of 2017 dropped by 40 per cent and almost 30 per cent respectively as compared with the same period last year. KCDIST Commander Lee Nga-lai attributed the decline in crime rate to frontline officers' diligence in maintaining law and order.

Meanwhile, Kowloon City District Councillor Mr Lam Tak-shing, some residents, representatives of Hung Hom Resident Service Organisation and a few victims of burglary cases also gave banners to KCDIST on the same day to acknowledge their frontline officers' efforts in handling the collapse of a veranda of an old building in Hung Hom in June and the detection of three burglary cases in recent months.
