This year, the Force clinched 10 Civil Service Outstanding Service Awards, comprising two gold, two silver, four special citation and two meritorious awards. Commissioner Lo Wai-chung, along with Senior Directorate Group (SDG) members, congratulated the winning teams at a tea reception on October 23 for their outstanding achievement in striving for excellence and providing quality services.

The SDG members who attended the reception at the Senior Officers' Mess included Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Lau Yip-shing, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chiu Wai-yin and Director of Management Services Kwok Yam-shu.

Speaking at the reception, Mr Lo shared his views on the importance of gaining public confidence, particularly the support of local stakeholders, to facilitate policing work. He called on officers to maintain active engagement with the community.

The awardees were impressed by the free flow of ideas and experience with the Commissioner and SDG members in the reception. They deemed the occasion a good opportunity to reflect their views about the projects to Senior Force Management and were glad to see their efforts being recognised by the community and the Civil Service Bureau.
