Deputy Commissioner (Management) (DCP MAN) Chiu Wai-yin met with over 150 students and academic staff members of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on February 27 to share her journey of "Realisation of Dreams". She was the first guest speaker of the Servant Leadership Seminar series of 2018 in the university.

Ms Chiu accepted an invitation from Associate Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of CityU Professor Wong Sing-wing to speak in the seminar. In the first session, Professor Wong led two elite students to conduct an interview with Ms Chiu about her personal experience and challenges in her police career.

In the second session, Ms Chiu had an open discussion with the participants. She highlighted three keys to success at work and in life: to maintain a high sense of responsibility, to be resilient in face of adversity and to cultivate good interpersonal relationship. She also hoped to maintain good communication with different community sectors, particularly youths and students. The seminar ended in a warm applause.
