The Hong Kong Police Band, in partnership with the Police Chinese Cultural Club Chinese Orchestra and the Police Community Relations Office of Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST), held a community engagement project "Music Touch" on January 31. Over 600 students of HKTA The Yuen Yuen Institute No.1 Secondary School took part in the event. Commander of KWTDIST Lau Kit-man presided over the event.

The band and club members performed a variety of music, including Chinese music and western pop. Some students were invited to be an impromptu conductor on stage. Under the guidance of Director of Music of the Police Band Mr Li Ka-po, the students finished the task well. Towards the end of the concert, the band invited some members of the school band to give a joint performance of a golden hit, "Under the Lion Rock".

The event received enthusiastic applause. It was a good platform to deepen the students' cognition of military music and strengthen mutual trust between the Force and the youths.
