The Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) mounted "Operation Levington" with regional officers on the evening of January 26 with the aim of curbing triad activities and their source of income. Commandant Auxiliary Yang Joe-tsi participated in the operation to support frontline officers in fighting crime. He was also apprised of the recent triad situation.


After conducting liquor licence checks at entertainment premises in Kowloon West (KW) with officers of OCTB and KW Region, Mr Yang joined a fight crime operation at Lan Kwai Fong in Central with officers of OCTB and Hong Kong Island Region. He observed the difficulties and challenges faced by officers in tackling triad activities.


After the operation, Mr Yang had snacks with OCTB officers and thanked them for their dedication in maintaining law and order.


Remarking on the Commandant Auxiliary's visit, OCTB officers were delighted to work with the Senior Force Management in the operation. They gained a better understanding of auxiliary officers' important role in supporting policing work and crime prevention operations as well as handling major public events.
