The Emergency Unit of New Territories South (EU NTS) conducted a Body Worn Video Camera (BWVC) workshop on March 26, with the participation of 125 officers from Districts in NTS.

The workshop covered the procedures for operating BWVCs, case studies and practical exercises. Senior Inspector of EU NTS Headquarters Chan Yik-chun highlighted the benefits of using BWVCs by frontline officers to mitigate or prevent disruptive behaviour in confrontational situations.

This was one of a series of activities arranged by EU under Project SPEARHEAD of NTS. This project aimed to strengthen frontline officers' tactical skills, operational competence and capability in handling incidents.
