The Police College arranged the fourth batch of Junior Police Officers (JPOs), namely Station Sergeant Cheung Kim-fung and Sergeant Hui Kwun-ho, to attend the Sergeant Qualifying Program at the Victoria Police Academy in Melbourne, Australia, from May 14 to 25. This shows the Force's commitment in offering more overseas training opportunities for JPOs.

Mr Cheung and Mr Hui joined with 20 Sergeants from the Victoria Police in the program. The curriculum covered a wide range of police leadership and operational training issues, including skills in management and handling of domestic violence cases, emergencies and critical incidents. The two officers exchanged policing knowledge with local trainees and shared experience in the prevention and investigation of technology crime, as well as the latest systems for evidence collection. Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner of Victoria Police met with the two officers to share his leadership and management experience.
