Crack down on illegal fishing

The Marine Police invited Senior Fisheries Officer Mr Wong Cheuk-kee and Fisheries Supervisor Mr Tam Ka-lung from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) as speakers in a seminar under the Beyond Boundaries Learning Series on May 25.

Mr Wong and Mr Tam explained the related legislation, and shared their experience in law enforcement and investigation of illegal fishing. The seminar at the Marine Regional Headquarters received overwhelming response from over 70 frontline officers. It enabled the participants to get a better understanding of the law enforcement work of AFCD and to foster co-operation between both parties.
