The Police Services Centre of Central District (CDIST) has been moved back to "Tai Kwun" at Hollywood Road after years of planning. It has been reopened to the public from May 29. Commissioner Lo Wai-chung officiated at the opening ceremony of the centre on June 8 with the presence of community leaders and dignitaries.

Covering approximately 800 square feet, the centre reflects the historic value and artistic concepts of "Tai Kwun". Its report room and public waiting area are refurbished in wooden style with vintage-look. Old photographs taken in "Tai Kwun" and vintage police items are displayed to fit in with the style of "Tai Kwun". The back office, however, is built in modern design to facilitate its conversion into an operational centre when necessary.

Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner Lo called on all sectors of the community to continue their support to the Force. He also encouraged officers of CDIST to uphold the spirit of "Serving with Pride and Care" and demonstrate their commitment to providing quality services to the public.
