Tseung Kwan O District (TKODIST) marked the first anniversary of its establishment on July 5 by hosting a tea reception with members of Sai Kung District Council (SKDC) and Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee (SK DFCC), community leaders, school principals, local government officials and other stakeholders. Amongst the guests were Sai Kung District Officer Mr David Chiu, SKDC Chairman Mr George Ng and SK DFCC Chairman Mr Chan Kuen-kwan.

Speaking at the reception, TKODIST Commander Kong Hok-lai thanked the guests for their tremendous support for the upgrading of Tseung Kwan O Division to a Police District, and for the collaboration of various government departments to deliver better services to the community. He also gave an overview of TKODIST Action Plan 2018, crime figures over the past 11 months and key community engagement projects. Last but not least, he applauded TKODIST officers for their dedication for combating crime, contributing to a significant fall in crime figures.

The reception provided a platform for the officers to maintain close ties with other government departments, and exchanged views with community leaders and representatives of local groups to promote community policing.
