Marine West Division (MWDIV) organised a seminar cum tabletop exercise for stakeholders about the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Jointly held with the CLP Power Hong Kong Limited at Castle Peak Power Station on June 1, the event aimed to raise the stakeholders' awareness and enhance their ability in handling emergency incidents.

Officers of MWDIV gave a briefing to the participants about the latest counter terrorism strategies. The participants were then invited to take part in the tabletop exercise presided by MWDIV Commander Yuen Ching-fong. The exercise simulated various scenarios, the last of which was a simulated attack on the power plant by several suspects. Also joining the exercise were the Small Boat Division, the Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Castle Peak Division and the Emergency Unit of New Territories North.

Apart from strengthening communication and co-operation between the Force and ISPS stakeholders, the seminar and exercise increased their vigilance in counter terrorism.
