Wanchai District (WCHDIST) Commander Tse Kwok-wai presented prizes to winners of the "Noble Bar Scheme" Poster Design Competition on June 12. Police Constable Leung Sau-fung from Patrol Sub-Unit 4 of Wanchai Division secured the championship.

Mr Tse congratulated the winners and shared the objectives of the "Noble Bar Scheme". He encouraged officers to proactively engage the community and provide quality services to the public. The winning design will be printed on posters for posting in public areas and inside liquor licensed premises on the southern side of Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, to promote harmony between bar customers and residents of nearby buildings.

The scheme made its debut in March 2015 with the aim of neutralising nuisances in the bar area, as well as promoting responsible liquor selling practices, sensible drinking and collaboration with local stakeholders to keep the neighbourhood safe and in order. After the implementation of the scheme, the number of noise complaints in the bar area dropped significantly by about 24 per cent. This showed that the scheme was effective in maintaining a nuisance free environment.
