The Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) ran a number of workshops for frontline officers about the investigation of Loco-London Gold (LLG) fraud. Over 300 officers have attended the workshops held in Kowloon West (KW), Kowloon East and Hong Kong Island Regions in late July. Two other workshops will be held for New Territories South and New Territories North Regions.

CCB Chief Inspector (CIP) Yin Hiu-yu and Senior Inspector (SIP) Ma Ling-ho shared with the participants their experience in the recent Operation SPLITFLASH. The operation neutralised a LLG fraud syndicate with the arrest of 48 persons and the freezing of more than $100 million in crime proceeds for financial investigation.

CCB's Investment Fraud Focus Group monitors, conducts research on and takes initiatives to curb investment fraud. Should frontline officers encounter difficulties or need on-site assistance during the investigation of LLG or other investment fraud, they may contact the Focus Group manager, CIP Yin Hiu-yu, or Officer-in-charge of Fraud Section 3C of CCB SIP Chau Wing-ka.
