The Police College signed a Memorandum of Understanding on academic collaboration with City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on July 16. The MoU aimed to foster partnership by providing opportunities for CityU students to conduct policing-related research within the Force under a Student Internship Programme.


The agreement was signed by Director of the Police College Lau Chi-wai and Associate Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences from CityU Professor Wong Sing-wing. Also attending the signing ceremony were Deputy Director of the Police College Dr Chiu Sau-mee, Sau Mau Ping District Commander Wong Kwong-hing, Associate Professor of CityU Dr Zhong Yueying and their teammates.


The Police College will arrange a six-week internship for undergraduates of CityU's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences to engage in policing-related research. The MoU not only marks a milestone for closer collaboration between the Force and CityU, but also signifies the Force's commitment to maintaining liaison with scholars and young people for enhancing mutual understanding and providing better services to the public.
