Shatin District (STDIST) ran a seminar on August 7 at its headquarters to disseminate anti-scam messages and prevent domestic violence. Over 20 members of Shatin Social Volunteers Association attended the event.

Speaking at the seminar, Inspectors Liu Tsz-chai and Yung Siu-fong analysed the latest crime trends. They also offered advice on prevention of crimes such as romance scam and social media deception.

The officers reminded the attendees to be vigilant for signs of domestic violence in clients. Furthermore, they shared tips for parent-child communication and maintaining family relationships. The response from the audience was very positive.
