The Crime Prevention Bureau arranged a visit to a mock court in the Police College for 24 participants from five sex workers' concern groups on August 15. A sharing session was also held to increase their understanding of court procedures.

Senior Inspector (Mock Court Training) of the Police College Leung Chi-chiu gave a talk on the facilities and daily operation of courts. Then Superintendent (Operations) of Crime New Territories South (NTS) Regional Headquarters Leung Kwok-wing and Senior Inspector of NTS Regional Crime Unit Leung Wai-yee explained court procedures, including the process of giving evidence at court. Leung Wai-yee also spoke on measures to protect adult sexual violence victims in court proceedings, such as the provision of screen to shield the victims and the arrangement of special passage.

The visitors said that the event was useful for them to guide their members for testifying in court, thereby relieving the members' stress of being a witness in court. They thanked the Police for their ongoing activities to strengthen communication with the concern groups.
