The Narcotics Bureau (NB) and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) jointly delivered three anti-drug seminars to about 300 Junior Police Call (JPC) members in training camps at JPC@Pat Heung in July and August. Officers used virtual reality (VR) technology in anti-drug activities for the first time to raise the youngsters' awareness against drug abuse.

The JPC participants put on VR headsets to experience a series of scenarios during which they were required to stand strong against the temptation of drugs. NB officers and social workers from the HKFYG provided guidance and counselling to the participants in the process. The participants were very excited about the VR experience and actively participated in the game to reinforce their determination to resist drugs.

Since 2016, the NB has been supporting the HKFYG in its "Project EVER" to offer anti-drug counselling services to young people aged from 10 to 29. The NB will continue to work with the HKFYG in promoting anti-drug campaigns in secondary schools.
