Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island Region (RCPO HKI) and the Teens and Elderly Mission Committee (TEMC) jointly organised a leadership training camp for 60 Elite Crime Prevention Ambassadors (CPAs) at JPC@Pat Heung on August 23 and 24.

The camp aimed at helping the youth participants to develop self-confidence and team spirit as well as problem-solving and leadership skills.

The CPAs went on a rope course and a zip line, and participated in team building activities and crime prevention seminars. A social worker of the Rotaract Club of Lantau Mr Yiu Chung-fung talked about the harmful effects of drug abuse while Officer-in-charge of Regional Anti-Triad Unit of HKI Fan Wai-ho outlined the modus operandi of triads in recruiting youngsters. They reminded the CPAs to stay away from drugs and triad gangs and adopt positive life attitudes.

HKI Regional Commander Yu Tat-chung and Chairman of TEMC Dr Liu Kai-ming also attended the event. They encouraged the CPAs to resist drug temptation and undesirable elements, and to lead a purposeful life.
