Marine Region held a Community Engaging Day on September 1 to showcase its diverse work to members of the public and to deepen their understanding of the Marine Police.


Officiating at the event were Chairperson of the Islands District Fight Crime Committee Mr Yu Hon-kwan, Chairperson of the Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee Mr Chan Kuen-kwan, Chairperson of the Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee Mr Lee Hung-sham, Chairperson of the Tai Po District Fight Crime Committee Ms Lee Sai-yin and Marine Regional Commander Patrick Hodson.


The programme of the day included performances by a police dog team and the Police Silver Band, a demonstration of boat chase and interception, a display of equipment of Small Boat Division, a tour of a simulated control room for police launches and a maritime relics exhibition. The activities helped the participants to better understand the daily work of the Marine Police.
