To give officers and their families a comprehensive insurance protection, the Central Fund is open for application from junior police officers while the Family Protection Fund is open for application from officers at inspectorate rank or above and all civilian staff until December 3.
Administered with the assistance of the Personnel Services and Staff Relations (PS&SR) Branch, each of the two funds provides a maximum insurance protection of $500,000 in the unfortunate event that an insured officer dies whilst in service or suffers from varying degrees of permanent disability caused by accidents.
