The Summer Youth Athletics Training Course organised by the Hong Kong Police Athletics Club (HKPAC) was concluded on August 26. Twenty police children, aged from eight to 14, of regular, auxiliary and civilian staff joined the training.
The course developed the participants' interest and basic knowledge in athletics, and encouraged them to build a healthy lifestyle. Covering sprint, mid-distance running and relay training, the participants attended weekly lessons for two months in Aberdeen and Tsing Yi Sports Grounds. Both the coaches and the participants established close friendship through the training.
The HKPAC has been providing the summer course for three consecutive years to enhance the understanding and performance of police children in athletics. For more activities of the HKPAC, please visit its website at www.hkpac.com or its Facebook page www.facebook.com/hkpac.
