The Police Sports Council conducted a workshop on the Elite Athletes Strategic Engagement Scheme (EASE) on August 27 to equip EASE facilitators from Force sports clubs with better knowledge and skills to engage elite athletes.

Following an introduction to EASE, guest speakers from the Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Programme shared the elite athletes' concerns about education, career development and life skills, and how the facilitators could support the athletes. Then a local secondary school teacher, Ms Katy Chan, delivered a session on coaching and life-planning skills. Staff from the Recruitment Division also attended the workshop to report the latest information about police recruitment.

In closing, EASE Chief Facilitator Mr Kwok Ka-chuen thanked all guest speakers for their sharing, and highlighted the important role of the facilitators in the scheme. He hoped the facilitators would actively engage the elite athletes in joining the Force and its community activities so as to enhance the Force's sports performance, and promoting a culture of healthy lifestyle and the positive image of the Force and local athletes.
