The Road Safety Office of Traffic Hong Kong Island (T HKI) and the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong Island and Islands) held an activity to promote pedestrian safety and celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with the elderly. Officers sent warm greetings to elderly people at Kwan Kai Ming Memorial Chung Hok Elderly Centre and Nga Yin Association Neighbourhood Elderly Centre on September 12 and 21 respectively.

To raise road safety awareness of elderly people in the two centres, officers of T HKI gave road safety talks while officers of the Police Community Relations Office (PCRO) in Eastern District and Western District disseminate anti-deception messages in the activities. Deputy Commander of an elderly patrol team of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong and Islands Regions) Tsang Yu-man led their members to distribute mooncakes and share road safety messages with the elderly.
