The Police Hockey Club and Sham Shui Po Junior Police Call (JPC) jointly organised the first Indoor Hockey Youth Tournament at the Police Sports and Recreation Club this summer.

Apart from JPC members of Sham Shui Po District and Yau Tsim District (YTDIST), the tournament has received overwhelming support of Project Legacy with a number of schools enrolled. On top of promoting hockey, the event encouraged the participation of local and non-ethnic Chinese youths to promote social integration.

After a series of training sessions and qualifying games, the event came to a close on September 2. Heep Yunn School beat Diocesan Girls' School and won the girls' championship while JPC YTDIST clinched the boys' championship.

In closing, Chairman of the Police Sports Council Mr Cheuk Hau-yip, together with some community leaders, presented trophies to the winning teams. They highly praised the performance of the players and encouraged them to keep up the efforts.
