Chairman of Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) Mr Lo Yan-lai, DFCC members Mr Choy Chit-shing and Ms Suen Wing-sze, Kwun Tong District Council Member Ms Tse Suk-chun and persons-in-charge of a garage and a restaurant presented tapestry flags and appreciation letters to some officers of Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) on November 12 in recognition of their swift detection of several serious offences.


One of the cases was a "Burglary and theft of vehicles" in Yau Tong. The culprits smashed an iron gate of a garage with a private car and stole three luxury cars. Upon investigation, District Crime Squad of KTDIST arrested eight suspects and recovered all the stolen cars. Another case was a burglary at a restaurant in Yau Tong. Officers of Task Force Sub-Unit and District Investigation Team of KTDIST quickly identified a suspect and arrested him within 24 hours of the burglary with all the stolen money recovered.


KTDIST Commander Chan Kwok-kee thanked the local community for their support. He highly commended the Uniform Branch and Crime officers for their team spirit and efforts in maintaining law and order of the district and boosting public confidence in the Force.
