Central District (CDIST) conducted an Anti-Credit Card Fraud Seminar on November 14 to raise the awareness of community sectors, in particular the retail sector, about credit card fraud. About 80 representatives from the telecommunications industry, the jewellery and watch industry, the catering industry, the clothing industry and the tourism industry attended the seminar.


Representatives from the Commercial Crime Bureau, Anti-Deception Coordination Centre, a credit card centre of Bank of China, and the American Express Company were invited to talk about the modus operandi of credit card fraud, crime trend and preventive measures.


CDIST encouraged the participants to share crime prevention messages with their peers to enhance their awareness of crime prevention and to promote the participation of different sectors in fighting crime.
