A record number of over 60 marksmen took part in the Inter-disciplined Services Shooting Competition hosted by the Police Shooting Club at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on December 8, 2018. Elite marksmen from five disciplined services, namely the Correctional Services Department, the Fire Services Department, the Customs and Excise Department, the Immigration Department and the Hong Kong Police, competed with semi-automatic pistols and revolvers.

After a neck-to-neck contest, members of the Police Shooting Club won a number of gold, silver and bronze medals of individual events: Mr Ng Yan-kit (Male Individual Semi-automatic Pistol Champion), Ms Kwong Wing (Female Individual Semi-automatic Pistol Champion), Mr Lam Chak-hung (Male Individual Revolver First Runner-up) and Ms Lui Siu-chong (Female Individual Revolver First Runner-up). A new award, Departmental Best New Shooter, was offered to encourage more athletes to participate in the competition.

Chairman of the Police Shooting Club Mr Kong Hok-lai thanked all players for their participation, and hoped they would continue to reach new heights.
