The Formation Integrity Committee (FIC) of the Finance, Administration and Planning Department (E Department) held an award presentation ceremony of its Integrity Micro-fiction Competition at Police Headquarters on January 28.

With the support of the Police Staff Motivation Scheme, the competition was organised in the third quarter of last year to raise officers' awareness of integrity issues and to foster a culture of integrity in E Department.

Officiating at the ceremony were Director of Finance, Administration and Planning Ms Joyce Tam, Financial Controller Ms Wong Siu-king, Police Civil Secretary Ms Ma Siu-hung and Chairman of the FIC of E Department cum Chief Superintendent (Planning and Development) Ho Wai-hong.

The contestants had to write an inspiring story of no more than 150 Chinese characters. The response to the competition was overwhelming, with a total of 34 entries from 29 officers. The winning entries were selected by secret ballot on a one-person-one-vote basis by officers of E Department. The eight entries receiving the highest number of votes were given the champion, first runners-up, third runner-up and merit awards.

The winning entries have been posted on the Ethics Corners in E Department.
