Eastern District Council (EDC) member Mr Eddie Ting presented pennants and certificates of appreciation to Eastern District (EDIST) Commander Rupert Dover as well as Lau Tak-yi, Kwok Wing-chuen and Lai Tsz-yan of the Police Community Relations Office (PCRO) on January 30 in recognition of their leadership in and support to maintaining law and order. He also commended other officers of PCRO for their outstanding work performance.

Mr Ting earlier expressed his views about local security and traffic issues to PCRO EDIST. The officers dealt with the issues promptly and properly, winning acclaim and recognition of residents. Furthermore, Mr Ting's office and the PCRO often worked together to organise activities such as road safety publicity events and an anti-deception seminar to raise the awareness of local residents. EDIST will maintain good communication with the community to prevent crime.
