The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (KE) has put up a large anti-telephone deception billboard at Hung Hom entrance to the Cross Harbour Tunnel between mid-February and March to spread the crime prevention message to more people.

The billboard alerted members of the public to stay vigilant against telephone deception and should "Hang up, Verify and Get Help" when they receive suspicious phone calls. They may also call the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre's 24-hour hotline 18222 if in doubt.

Superintendent (Crime) (KE) Tam Pak-fai (centre) believes the billboard helps remind the public to beware of telephone deception
