At the invitation of the Macao Public Security Police Force, the Force Search Unit (FSU) sent two training delegations, led by Chief Inspectors (CIPs) Chan Kit-fung and Ng Ching-no respectively, to conduct two sessions of defensive search and security screening refresher workshops in Macao from January 14 to 16 and from March 13 to 15.


The workshops covered the basic concepts of defensive venue search operations, the design and operation of security checkpoints, the application of behavioural observation techniques, the sharing of experience in security operations planning, demonstrations by instructors and practice for trainees.


Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent Tang Chi-ming, Superintendents Lok Wai-lurk and Sze Kin-wai as well as CIPs Fu Chun-yip and Fang Fan were invited to give a sharing session to 80 Macao police commanders. They talked about the global trend in security matters and the Hong Kong Police Force's experience in security operations planning and venue search operations for the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).


Acting Deputy Commissioner Vong Vai Hong of the Macao Public Security Police Force said, "The workshops and the sharing session enabled our officers to get a better understanding of security planning, and strengthened our confidence in security operations for the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR."
