Under the arrangement of the Hong Kong Police College, Chief Inspector Chan Kai-chak attended a training programme, titled "Digital Transformation in Government: Innovating Public Policy and Service", at the Harvard Kennedy School in the United States between March 10 and 15.
A total of 58 senior executives and supervisors from business and law enforcement agencies in Asia, Europe, Africa and the United States attended the programme. Professor David Eaves of the Harvard Kennedy School and other experts in information technology and cyber security shared their expertise with the participants.
Through lectures, experience sharing and group discussions, the participants got a better understanding of the impact of digital technology on regulation, policy and service delivery. They also learned the methodology for rethinking strategic planning and operations in an ever-changing environment.
