After the Force emerged as the Top Winner of the Hong Kong Most Innovative Knowledge Enterprise (MIKE) Award 2018 last December, it was named an Outstanding Winner of the Global MIKE Award 2018 this February in recognition of its remarkable performance and innovative practices in knowledge management (KM).

The Global MIKE Award marks the highest level of accolades in the field of KM. After assessment by world experts, 16 organisations, including reputable information technology and multinational organisations, have been selected as winners of the Global MIKE Award. The Force is the only government department and law enforcement agency clinching the Outstanding Winner Award in the competition.

At the Asian Knowledge and Innovation Forum cum MIKE Award Presentation Ceremony on April 25, Deputy Commissioner (Management) Kwok Yam-shu represented the Force to receive the Global MIKE Award 2018 while Director of the Police College cum Force Knowledge Officer Dr Cheung Ching received the Hong Kong MIKE Award 2018 on behalf of the Force.

The Forum carried the theme of "Knowledge Technology Leading to Innovation". Dr Cheung gave a presentation in the Forum on how the Force, as a knowledgeable and innovative organisation, continues to create and co-create innovative and collaborative synergies in an ever-changing environment. She stressed that KM implementation enhances the capability of the Force in providing better services to the community in a global context.

Never resting on our laurels, the Force's "Innovation Ship" will go on sailing across the globe by continuing the implementation of KM with its foundation built on "KM Culture for All".
