Deputy Commissioner (Operations) (DCP OPS) Tang Ping-keung visited the Police College Headquarters (HQs) on April 23 to keep abreast of the College's work.

Mr Tang was greeted by Director of the Police College Dr Cheung Ching. Dr Cheung led the College Management to give an update to Mr Tang about the College's key initiatives, including its Major Formation Action Plan, the progress of pursuing accreditation under the Qualifications Framework as well as becoming an assessment agency for issuing professional qualifications, the use of technology to enhance training effectiveness, and an overview of training for Junior Police Officers.

Afterwards, Mr Tang met the College's representatives to get a deeper understanding of their work. He praised College staff for their contribution to the preparation of activities for the 175th anniversary of the Force. In particular, he highly commended the College for its production of the Hong Kong Police Force 175th Anniversary Commemorative Book. The book is rich in content and has incorporated augmented reality and virtual reality technology to make it more interesting and increase its collection value.

The College's representatives were delighted with the opportunity to communicate directly with DCP OPS, and thanked him for his appreciation of the College's work.
