The Force took part in the "Hong Kong Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics" with other law enforcement agencies at Sha Tin Sports Ground on April 28. The event was organised by the Hong Kong Special Olympics annually to raise fund for people with intellectual disabilities. The Force raised over $1 million for two consecutive years.

Commissioner Lo Wai-chung represented the Force to attend the opening ceremony, and cheered for 1 795 Force runners and their family participants. The Force's torch leader, Kowloon West Regional Commander Cheuk Hau-yip, led the Force participants on a 3.5-kilometre route along the Shing Mun River in high spirits.

The Force raised over $1.06 million out of a total donation of about $2.6 million and continued to rank the top fund-raising law enforcement agency. The top three fund-raising formations were Hong Kong Island Region, Kowloon West Region and the Police College.
