Kowloon West (KW) Regional Crime Prevention Office held an adventure training camp at the Man Yee Activity and Training Centre in Sai Kung from June 29 to 30 for more than 40 supervisees cautioned under the Police Superintendent's Discretion Scheme as well as young people reached through early intervention. The event was held in conjunction with the Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee (KWYCC) and the Raleigh Hong Kong.


The camp aimed to develop the youngsters' potential and boost their self-confidence and team spirit with challenging tasks. It offered a seminar given by Senior Inspector Chung King-yip on how triads recruit youngsters as members. Mr Chung reminded the participants of the consequences of becoming triad members and cautioned them not to break any laws.


Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent (Crime KW Headquarters) Ng Wing-sze, KWYCC Chairman Mr Chan Kin-ping, Vice-chairperson Ms Ng Yin-mui and Permanent Honorary President Mr Cheung Che-kong attended the training activities to encourage the participants to pursue their life goals with perseverance.
