Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) held a briefing for stakeholders on August 1 about an interim report of its Policing Plan for 2019.


TWDIST Commander Kerry Carew extended a warm welcome to District Officer (Tsuen Wan) Ms Jenny Yip, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Council (TWDC) Mr Wong Wai-kit, Chairman of Tsuen Wan District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC) Mr Chiu Yiu-nin and other guests. Also attending the briefing included representatives of various government departments, members of TWDC and Tsuen Wan DFCC as well as local community leaders.


Assistant District Commander (Operations), Assistant District Commander (Crime), District Operations Officer and Police Community Relations Officer of TWDIST gave brief reports in turn on TWDIST's Policing Plan. The plan covers operational duties of frontline officers; local crime figures and trends; enforcement actions against vice, gambling and dangerous drug activities in the district as well as an overview of the work of the Police Community Relations Office.


During a subsequent question-and-answer session, officers and the guests exchanged their views on community and livelihood issues. The guests gave firm support to the Force and thanked the officers for their hard work in the past two months. In return, Mr Carew expressed his gratitude to all the guests for their support, and he called for joint efforts to maintain law and order and foster stability and harmony in TWDIST.
