Kowloon City District Junior Police Call (KCDIST JPC) Honorary Presidents led 32 JPC members to participate in "Commemorate the 70th National Day – Hangzhou-Nanjing Technological and Cultural Exchange Programme" from August 1 to 5.


The JPC delegates visited a technology company in Hangzhou to get a better understanding of the technological development of the state-owned enterprise. Then they took the High Speed Rail to Nanjing and visited an unmanned police station inside a metro station to learn about the technologies for its facial recognition system and intelligent transport surveillance system as well as processing applications for documents.


Meanwhile, KCDIST Deputy District Commander Chan Chun-fai went to Nanjing and officiated at the launching ceremony of the Nanjing-Hong Kong Anti-drug Youth Camp with Mr Sun Jianyou, Nanjing Vice Mayor cum Director of Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau. A JPC Advanced Leader, Tang Yu-hin, spoke on behalf of the JPC delegates about the role and vision of Hong Kong JPC members in promoting anti-drug messages and assisting the Police to fight crime.


In addition, the JPC delegates toured major attractions in Hangzhou and Nanjing, including the West Lake, The Grand Jing-hang Canal Museum, the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre, Dr Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and Huaiyang scenic belt. The tour increased the delegates' understanding of local history and culture.
