Four Senior Police Call Docents (SPC Docents) took 33 mentees of the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) for a guided tour of "Tai Kwun 101" exhibition on August 14. The event was jointly organised by the Police Public Relations Branch and the PMP with a view to deepening the mentees' understanding of the history of Tai Kwun and the Force.

In addition to bringing the mentees to tour the exhibits, the SPC Docents explained to the mentees the heritage of the historic Central Police Station, Central Magistracy and Victoria Prison. During a tour of the exhibits in the zones of "Objects through Time" and "Lost and Found" of the exhibition, the mentees learned that police officers assisted in firefighting and correctional work in the past. The mentees were most interested in the tiger head sculpture and were eager to learn more about the history of Tai Kwun from the SPC Docents. The Docents also took the opportunity to chat with the mentees to foster inter-generational understanding.

Apart from the guided tour, officers of the SPC and Elderly Engagement Section also shared their work experiences with the mentees, and encouraged them to equip themselves to strive for their goals.
