Sham Shui Po District (SSPODIST) held a henna tattoo workshop at Sham Shui Po Junior Police Call Clubhouse on August 16. More than 40 Senior Police Call (SPC) members as well as ethnic minority female members of Project MAMA and their family members took part in the event.

Under the guidance of the ethnic minority mothers and SSPODIST Police Community Relations Office staff, the participants drew henna tattoos with fortunate and lucky blessings on their hands and bodies.

The workshop enabled the members of Project MAMA and SPC to enhance communication and cultural exchange. The SPC members also got a better understanding of the traditional customs and religion of the ethnic minorities. Furthermore, officers took the opportunity to disseminate crime prevention messages to the participants.

SSPODIST will continue to organise various kinds of activities to promote community engagement and integration.
