Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island (RCPO HKI) has all along endeavoured to maintain good communication and co-operation with the security and guarding services industry and property management companies. Through the Best Security Services Awards Scheme, RCPO HKI aims to motivate the security services industry to enhance service quality.

Best Security Services Awards Scheme 2018-2019 attracted enthusiastic participation with over a thousand nomination forms received. RCPO HKI presented 103 Outstanding Security Services - Industrial/Commercial Property Awards and 103 Outstanding Security Services - Residential Property Awards. A total of 210 security personnel were presented with Outstanding Security Personnel Award or The Best Security Personnel Award. Ten of them were awarded as The Best Top Ten Security Personnel.

In recognition of the outstanding performance of the awardees, officers of RCPO HKI went to the awardees' workplaces to present certificates of commendation and calendars carrying crime prevention messages to the awardees. Officers also took the opportunity to share crime prevention tips and explain the police power of law enforcement in housing estates, shopping malls and private premises. Meanwhile, the security industry personnel pledged to continue to support the awards scheme and join hands with the police to prevent crime and build a safe and harmonious community.
