Police Community Relations Office of Border District (BORDIST) earlier rolled out a two-month project called "SMART SENIOR" for newly recruited Senior Police Call (SPC) members. Visits and seminars were arranged to raise the anti-crime, anti-deception and road safety awareness among SPC members and increase their understanding of police work.

SPC members attended a mobile security seminar held by Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau and a road safety seminar conducted by officers of Traffic Kowloon East. They also visited Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre to learn more about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Moreover, they toured Old Tai O Police Station and Tai Kwun to gain a better understanding of the history of the Force and police work.

BORDIST will continue to promote SPC events and organise different events to deliver anti-crime and road safety messages to the elderly.
