In conjunction with Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee, Kowloon West Region (KW) has been publishing a teen magazine called SmartTeen which features a topic relating to youth crime in each issue. By providing factor analysis and presenting case studies as well as relevant laws, the magazine aims to enhance teenagers' law-abiding awareness and remind them not to fall into traps of culprits.

As "Animal Watchers" Scheme will soon be launched Force-wide, the theme of the latest issue of SmartTeen is animal protection. Apart from promoting the message of anti-animal cruelty, the magazine also provides fun tips on animals, particularly points to note before becoming a pet owner, such that teenagers will learn to respect and love animals.

The magazine will be distributed to primary and secondary schools and organisations engaging in youth work within the region so as to disseminate the message of animal protection to youngsters.
