Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories South (RCPO NTS) and Hong Kong Extra-Curricular Activities Masters Association co-organised a four-frame comic competition on cybercrime prevention.

Open to all primary and secondary school students, the competition was divided into three categories, namely senior primary, junior secondary and senior secondary. With their creativity and meticulous drawings, students introduced various cybercrimes, including online shopping scam, online romance scam, naked chat blackmail, as well as measures on protection of personal data in a light-hearted way.

Among the 228 entries received from 29 secondary schools and ten primary schools, 39 winning entries were selected. Some of the outstanding entries were printed on promotional materials, such as calendars and folders, for distribution in different events to disseminate crime prevention messages.

Since November 2019, officers of RCPO NTS visited various primary and secondary schools to present awards to students. On January 15, officers visited SKH Ho Chak Wan Primary School to present the Active Participation School Award to the principal and the awarded students. Officers also briefed the students on the prevalent technology crime and reminded them to use technology wisely.
