With a view to enhancing public awareness of animal protection, Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) has endeavoured to partner with stakeholders to promote animal welfare and protection in the region.

On top of the previously engaged Hong Kong Concern Group for Pets and Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation, RCPO KE also established partnership with Pet Club Hong Kong in early January. Pet Club Hong Kong aims to protect animals through provision of pet-related medical information, education of the public on animal welfare as well as provision of emergency treatment and emergency transport services by trained pet first-aiders.

Having fostered partnerships with the three aforesaid organisations, RCPO KE will endeavour to educate the public to protect and respect the well-being of animals via the member networks of the organisations which span across the territory. Members of the public are also encouraged to report suspected animal cruelty incidents in order to uphold the safety, welfare and rights of animals.
