District Traffic Enforcement Team of Shatin District (DTET STDIST) has resumed its operation since mid-March 2020 to support frontline units and take stringent enforcement and ticketing actions against drivers for illegal parking in the district.

During the STDIST Traffic Days between March 17 and 19, DTET STDIST took stringent enforcement and ticketing actions against offending drivers, particularly those involved in double parking, illegal parking at restricted zones (especially near bus stops and pedestrian crossing facilities) and obstruction of vehicular access in the district. A total of 5 470 fixed penalty tickets were issued during the operation.

DTET STDIST will continue to work with all divisions and District Traffic Team of STDIST as well as different stakeholders, to target traffic black spots with a view to improving the traffic condition in the district. Moreover, DTET STDIST will step up enforcement actions, publicity and education to raise the awareness of road safety, protect all road users and maintain smooth traffic flow in the district.
