Junior Police Call (JPC) Central Advisory Board member cum Wan Chai District JPC Honorary President Mr Chong Chong-yip and a group of community members visited the Hong Kong Island (HKI) Regional Headquarters on March 11 to donate 50 000 surgical masks to the Force as a token of support to police officers. HKI Regional Commander Kwok Pak-chung received the donation on behalf of the Force.

Mr Chong stated that despite the social disturbance that lasted for more than half a year and the persistence of the COVID-19 outbreak in Hong Kong, police officers have been working fearlessly at the forefront. They have provided emergency services for members of the public day and night and discharged their duties professionally under all kinds of pressure, demonstrating the Force’s commitment to serving Hong Kong with honour, duty and loyalty. Mr Kwok expressed his gratitude to Mr Chong for the donation and hoped that more people would speak out for the Force and join hands to foster a harmonious social atmosphere.

After the donation ceremony, Mr Chong and the community members had an exchange with the attending officers. They thanked the Force for its contribution to society and said that a lot of people supported and recognised the work of the Force. The officers also shared their sweets and bitters at work with Mr Chong and the community members and thanked them for their support.
