In mid-March, officers of the Juvenile Protection Section of the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) joined hands with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups LOHAS Youth S.P.O.T. and youth members of “Project TEENS” to visit elderly singletons in KE Region to disseminate crime prevention and anti-epidemic information.

During the event, volunteers visited more than 20 elderly persons who live alone in Sai Kung, Yau Tong and Tseung Kwan O and distributed anti-crime leaflets as well as supplies including bagged rice, milk, surgical masks, hand sanitisers and towels. Apart from showing care to the elderly, officers of the RCPO KE also educated them on crime prevention and anti-epidemic measures. Meanwhile, officers also took the opportunity to inculcate the young members of “Project TEENS” with positive values and to encourage them to care for the vulnerable in the community.
