Partnership building remains one of the pillars for the Hong Kong Police College (HKPC). Over the years, the HKPC has established partnerships, not only with local stakeholders but also with overseas and Mainland training institutions and universities. Tied down by global pandemic, facing quarantine and travel bans, it has had a knock-on impact on cross-boundary training activities. Nevertheless, the HKPC strives to maintain close liaison with overseas and Mainland training partners by means of technology. In May, the HKPC held various video conferences with overseas and Mainland police training institutions and a university. During the virtual meetings, the HKPC Headquarters staff has forged cooperation with training partners, further explored new training opportunity and shared experience on the HKPC’s accreditation of training programmes as well as being the authority entrusted to operate Qualifications Framework recognised learning programmes in the Programme Area of “Law Enforcement and Security Studies” up to Level 5.

Physical distancing does not stop our effort in partnership building. With the use of technology, the HKPC remains committed to networking and identifying training needs with its training partners far and near.
