Officers of the Police Community Relations Office of Tai Po District (TPDIST), the Rural Patrol Unit of Tai Po Division and the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North joined forces with members of Tai Po District Fight Crime Committee (TP DFCC) Mr Cheung Kwok-tung and Mr Tang Ming-tai as well as other community members to promote burglary prevention among villagers in San Wai Tsai Village in Tai Po via Project VILLAGE WATCH on July 8.

On that day, police officers, the TP DFCC members and community members handed out leaflets to villagers to raise their awareness of burglary prevention and encouraged them to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. Luminous stickers with the words of “CCTV in Progress” were also distributed to villagers who had installed CCTV systems at their dwellings. The villagers can display the luminous stickers outside their houses to enhance the deterrence against burglars at night.
